Our Roots
The idea for the establishment of College of Health, Yamfo (CoHY) was a collaborative effort by the current Paramount Chief of Yamfo traditional area with his subjects, the Hon. District Chief Executive and Member of Parliament for the Tano North District respectively and was fully supported by the Ministry of Health (MoH)-Ghana after several engagements and discussions with relevant stakeholders. Finally College was established and opened by MoH in November, 2015 with the current student population of Two Hundred and Forty-seven (247) for all the four programmes. College is affiliated to University of Cape Coast (UCC)-Ghana with Accreditation by National Accreditation Board (NAB). Its programmes are regulated by Medical and Dental Council and Allied Health Council of Ghana.
